Surgery Update

Feeling all the feels.

Bennett’s big ear surgery was scheduled for March 4th. Yesterday his Surgeon and Anesthesiologist made the appropriate call to cancel surgery for now.

We kept him home from school a week prior to surgery in hopes of keeping him healthy. Despite our best efforts, Bennett started coughing and spiked a 102.7 fever this week. He was negative for Flu, Covid and Strep but his cough is still terrible. As an asthmatic, it’s simply

unsafe to put him under anesthesia. We are at peace with this decision because his safety and wellbeing will always be the number one priority.
